Sarah Palin’s America By Heart is newly released but already taking the book market by storm. For many consumers, however, finding and ultimately purchasing the book on crowded online book sites may prove to a problem. 121 Group, an Internet marketing and online distribution firm, has announced that it has selected Palin’s book as part of their newly developed system for simplifying book searches online.

121 Group works with Amazon Books to present potential blockbuster books by celebrities, athletes, or politicians like Palin, President George Bush, Newt Gingrich and others. According to 121 Group CEO Bill Quinn, the problem with high profile books is that the intense interest in them often results in overwhelmed websites, slow or abandoned online shopping carts, and general confusion on the part of the shopper. That assumes the shopper was able to find the book online in the first place.

121 Group sets up convenient, easy to navigate websites that feature as few as one book per site, so shoppers can read a quick review and then hit the buy button. Taking it one step further, 121 has optimized the sites to rank high in the leading search engines so that when shoppers look for books like  Palin’s, the simplified sites rise to the top in the search results.

The bottom line, Quinn says, is ultimately a better consumer experience while using search engines like Google, Yahoo or Bing. 121 will be tracking to see how that translates into sales for book shoppers like those now looking for Sarah Palin’s America By Heart.
